Aerial Photos and GIS Mapping
A current and accurate property map is an essential tool for all hunters and land managers. Let SWS supply you with a current aerial photo of your property printed to your specifications. Not only will you receive a paper map, but you will also receive a disk containing a digital image of your map for future needs. A copy of your property map is also archived in the Sanctuary records for you in case of accidental loss.
Need to know the exact acreage of property, food plots, or size of woodlots? Want to enhance map features like roads and lakes, or create custom topographic\aerial photo overlays? All these items and many more can be addressed by entering your property map into a computer program called a geographic information system (GIS). The SWS staff is ready to use our knowledge of GIS to customize your maps and answer spatial questions about your property.
